Currently watching this anime and i like a lot. Is about a boy called Natsume who can see ghosts and inherits a book which cointains the names of many youkai (japanese spirits or monsters) who were defeated by his grandma. Later on, the youkai go to Natsume to get their names back, but there are other youkai who want the book for themselves and control the spirits who wrote their name on it. Natsume does not have any physicial ability or superpower, so he is running away most of the time to avoid getting killed (like in Silent Hill) . At that point a demon-cat called Madara appears and helps him with his quest.
The story is beautiful and every episode has a strong message, i end up crying while watching some of them.
Is not the typical ghost anime, like Bleach or Inuyasha which have lots of fights, this anime is more calm and realistic, like a mix between the genre "slice of life" with "survival".... i gues the word for that is drama >_> but anywho i still recommend it
